SOLAR HEATING OPTIONS
There are several variations of solar systems available. Mainly it depends on how efficient you want the heating or how energy conscious you are.
Don’t forget we supply and install in Brisbane, Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast.
An independent solar system uses dedicated pool inlets and outlets (installed when the pool was built) to draw water in and out of the solar system. This is used when a pool is being built as special fittings need to be installed in the pool shell. Many new pools install these fittings and leave caped pipes beside the filtration system even if the owner is not currently considering pool heating.

Simultaneous Pool Solar Heating
A simultaneous solar system uses the existing pool plumbing to draw water from after the pool filter (using filtered water) and return the warm water back to the pool via the water jets. This system is used when the pool has been installed but you want the efficiency of an independent solar pump.
Advantages:
-
Can be installed after a pool is built
-
The solar pump can be operated independent of the filtration pump
-
Adding a Jandi automatic valve will do away with having an extra pump.
Disadvantages:
-
Not quite as efficient as an independent system
